This listing is for one NEW (set of two) CUSTOM made valve keepers. These keepers have the retainer ring moved as shown in picture 3 to allow for when repeated valve jobs have "sunk" the valves in the head requiring the valves to be "tipped" which will cause the need for shorter keepers. What has normally been done over the years is to just machine the Yamaha ones to work, this is labor intensive and requires special equipment to perform correctly. This listing corrects that problem. The product is not simply a "machined" Yamaha OEM part as the current Yamaha retail for a cotter (or keeper) is 7.99 and requires 2 per valve (15.98), plus the labor to machine, which was 55.00 for a 16 valve head. Andrews Motorsports sells this custom made keeper (qty 2 for one valve) for 14.99 as shown in picture 1.

As seen used in Legend Race Cars, Baby Grand Stockcars and Dwarf / Mod-Lite Cars and Yamaha FJ1100, FJ1200, XJR1200, XJR1250 / 1300 air cooled series motorcycles. Andrews Motorsports can provide the installation machine work for your application if needed, equipment required can be viewed in pictures 4 through 6. This product may or may not be delivered to the customer in the manufacturer packaging as we purchase this product in bulk and it is sometimes shipped to us without packaging.

Pictures 1 and 2 are of the actual listing and picture 3 shows where the retainer was moved compared to the OEM Yamaha. In picture 3 the OEM Yamaha is on left and the custom keeper is on the right. Pictures 4 thru 12 are so our on line customers can see we are a brick and mortar location with the equipment, inventory and personal to give them the service they both deserve and need.
