This listing is for a USED refurbished and tested OEM (Custom Jetting Installed) set of 36mm CV carburetors for the Yamaha FJ1100, FJ1200, XJR1200, XJR1300 (also known as the XJR1250 air cooled) series engines as seen used in Legend car racing and the Yamaha FJ and XJR air cooled European series motorcycles. The part number 4AH-14900-10-00 (5EA-14900-10-00) has been superseded many times. This set of carburetors has our custom jet kit already installed and the unit has been test ran and tuned on an engine test stand.
This jet kit has won many Legend and Dwarf Car races and championships. The kit performs extremely well on a short or long tracks making it unnecessary to have two sets of carburetors for your race car. This kit also performs extremely well on the FJ or XJR series motorcycles with headers, K&N filters and minor modifications. This product may or may not be delivered to our customer in manufacturer packaging as we purchase these in bulk and sometimes it is delivered to us in manufacturer packaging and sometimes not.
The pictures number 1 and 2 are different views of the listing, pictures 3 thru 12 are just to show our on line customers some of our equipment used to perform the work and views of the race shop. We are located in a brick, mortar and steel building with the equipment, inventory and personal to give our customers the service that they both deserve and need. Got the carbs sent to me and I put them on and they leaked fuel like crazy. It only took 1 email and they apologized and had e send them and my other set to them to fix them and go threw my other set free of charge that says a lot there they stand behind what they sell i will continue to buy parts from them :
Response from Andrews Motorsports: Upon return of the carbs we test ran them and could find no "leaks" as had been claimed for the return. These were the carbs with the dual inlets for more fuel flow. The customer had a "expert friend" who said the dual inlet carbs were no good. So we are not sure whether the fuel o-rings seated (swelled) upon return or this was an excuse to trade carbs for a single inlet ( no need for that as we were happy to satisfy the customers request). Sometimes when carbs set on the shelf they will leak when fuel in first filled, after the o-rings swell the leaks will seal back up. This is caused by the carbs being test ran then set on a shelf and the o-rings "dry" up until ran in fuel again. We always try to satisfy any customer request within reason.
