Cylinder Sleeve, 3470FA-010, 3.298 OD, Legends Race Car, Yamaha FJ, XJ, Custom

This auction is for a brand new 3470FA +.010 custom advance steel cylinder sleeve that fits Yamaha FJ1100 / FJ1200 / and the XJR1250 air cooled. This custom sleeve is made by advanced sleeve and is still in original packaging. This sleeve is part of the 3470FA (standard 3470FA outside diameter is 3.288) series that was developed for the XJR1250 / 1300 air cooled series engine block with an aluminum bore.

This custom 3470FA +.010 sleeve is oversize .010 on the outside diameter to allow for repairs of over-bored 3470 FA standard sleeves or to correct a bore that has become out of round from over heating of the engine block. This is also an excellent sleeve for use as a big bore on the FJ 1100 and FJ1200 series blocks as it leaves enough aluminum around the bore that the cylinder block is not as likely to crack and leak oil. Which is sometimes common if you use a YA-991 (3.390) type sleeve.

This custom sleeve can be used up to a piston size of 3.1476 which is a 1297cc oversize engine. The 3470FA +.010 (3.298) sleeve is for correcting the more extreme cases of over boring and heat problems.
